CALIVIL United turned up the heat to score an 11-goal win against Mitiamo in Saturday’s fourth round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley Football Netball League season.
The Demons led 12-7 at quarter-time of the match played at Calivil and then upped the pressure to lead 20-12 by the main break.
Mitiamo won the third term, 9-7, but it was Calivil United which finished the contest full of running on the way to a 39-28 victory.
The in-form Marong was too strong for Pyramid Hill at Malone Park.
The Panthers won every quarter in the 47-23 result.
Key terms for Marong were the second and third which it won by margins of six and eight goals.
Bears Lagoon Serpentine worked hard but could not halt Bridgewater’s charge to victory.
The Mean Machine won 59-36 on the Bears’ court at Gadsden Finance Serpentine Reserve.
Newbridge gained four points as Inglewood is not fielding an A-grade team.
Maiden Gully YCW Eagles had the bye.
In next Saturday’s play, Bridgewater hosts the in-form Calivil United in the clash between third and second.
Newbridge takes on Marong at Holloway Air Riverside Park in Newbridge.
Pyramid Hill and Maiden Gully YCW meet in the battle of the Bulldogs and Eagles at Mitchell Park.
Mitiamo takes a rest in A-grade, but the Superoos will play Inglewood in the lower grades at Dissy Machinery Oval in Inglewood.
Bears Lagoon Serpentine has the bye.
