AN ANZAC Day match between Nyah Nyah West United and Woorinen in Nyah kicks off round three in the Radio 3SH-backed Central Murray senior footy competition.
The Demons will be on the rebound from defeat when they face the unbeaten Tigers from 5.45pm at Nyah Recreation Reserve.
An 11-point loss to Koondrook Barham in round two on April 12 will have the Demons fired up.
The NNWU squad jointly coached by Corey Daniels and Jason Murphy includes Cooper Andrews, Joel Campbell, Riley Daniels, Jordan Iudica, Ben Shadbolt and captain Joel Walsh.
Woorinen outplayed Tyntynder by 61 points in the second round in the Tigers’ den.
Matt Perry and Hugh Thompson both kicked five goals and will test the Demons’ defence.
The Tim Free-coached squad from Woorinen includes Jye Barry, Doug Beames, Ben Booth, Matthew Gardner, Jose Miliado and Robert Rush.
All other matches will be played from 2.30pm on Saturday.
Mallee Eagles face Koondrook Barham in the clash of first and third at Lalbert.
The Brent Macleod and Harry Allen-coached Eagles will be wary of an opponent which has beaten Tyntynder and the reigning premier so far.
Best in a 94-point win by Mallee on Swan Hill’s turf were Harry McGregor, Harry Allen, Wes Bennett and Ethan Pinchen.
A talented squad representing the Eagles includes Beau Bennett, Darcy Hourigan, Andrew Mead-Harding, Zac O’Meara and Jayden Post.
The Marcus Demaria-coached Koondrook Barham has already doubled last season’s win tally.
The River Raiders withstood a Demons fightback in the final term to win 83-74 at Barham.
Best in Koondrook Barham’s biggest win for many seasons were Benji Neal, Kye Attwell, Harry Bremner, Matt Bilton, Kyall Parker and Lee Dale.
The Rivers Raiders’ on-field leaders are Jack Thrum, Patrick Goble, Nathan O’Toole, Kye Attwell, Reagan Hamilton and Jack Shannon.
Fifth on the ladder, Lake Boga will on home turf against Tooleybuc Manangatang.
The Dean Helmers-coached Lake Boga won at Kerang in round one by 45 points and then had a bye.
Best for the Magpies in the season opener were Zac Warne, Braden Padmore, Rex Hickman and Nathaniel Holmes-Brown.
The Lake Boga squad includes Ryan Fox, Jayden Lonergan, Mardy McDonald and Koben Ryan.
Tooleybuc Manangatang has a one-one record following a 15-point win against Kerang at Tooleybuc in round two.
Best for the Brad Morris-coached Saints in that match were Connor Nutting, Josh Williams, Josh Koster, Connor McDonald, Rydar Morris and Seb Rogers.
Tooleybuc Mangatang’s squad includes Conor and Jesse Wilson, Josh Domaille, Connor Hazlett, Ben Arentz and Jack Templeton.
Tyntynder faces a big ask against Cohuna Kangas at Alan Garden Reserve in Swan Hill.
On the rebound from a 61-point loss at Woorinen, Tyntynder tackles an opponent which marked its first match of the season by scoring a 178-point victory against Balranald.
Tyntynder is being coached by Darcy Bibby, Justin Ellis and Charlie Ford.
The Bulldogs’ squad includes former Brisbane Lion Bailey Reeves, Jahmahl Jenkins-Clive, Kyle Doran, Angus Jones, Reiley Menhenett and Eddy Schifferle.
Cohuna showed it has plenty of attacking flair and goalkicking power.
Corbin Anderson kicked seven goals in round one as Chris Anderson, Will Lee, Tom Toma, Joel Helman and Ricky Monti were best for the Jack Geary-coached Kangas.
Kerang and Swan Hill will be desperate to break the losing run when they clash at Kerang’s Riverside Park.
The Paul Grayling-coached Kerang is on the rebound from a 15-point loss to Tooleybuc Manangatang.
Best for the Blues in the round two clash were Archer Dibsdale, Brad Pay, Jordan McNeil and Cody Makeham.
Kerang’s squad includes Ethan and Flynn McKnight, Brodie and Tyler Meehan, captain Josh Hunter and Jordan Clingan.
The Swans will be keen to bounce back from a 94-point loss to Mallee Eagles.
A Swan Hill squad coached by Michael Herlihy includes Sunny Handy, Kallen Heslop, Tom Holdstock, Luke Phelan and Will Simpson.
