Elmore targets hat-trick of victories

ELMORE has a winning hat-trick in sights as it prepares for Saturday’s A-grade netball match against Mount Pleasant in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote District Football Netball League.

The Bloods have played brilliant netball in the opening two weeks of the season to win at White Hills and then beat Colbinabbin at home.

Margin in both contests was 18 goals.

The Susan Borserio-coached Elmore takes on Mount Pleasant this Saturday at Elmore Recreation Reserve from 2pm.

As Elmore was posting wins, Mount Pleasant was on the sidelines.

The Blues had a first-round bye.

When these clubs last met, Elmore won on at Mount Pleasant’s court at Toolleen by 14 goals.

The Elmore line-up has bolstered its attack significantly since then.

Another big match will be at Leitchville where the Bombers take on North Bendigo at Degroot Roof Painting Oval.

Leitchville Gunbower is on the rebound from a 32-goal loss at White Hills.

North Bendigo will be keen to chalk up consecutive wins after a hard-fought three-goal triumph against Huntly at home.

The round 11 match between these clubs in 2019 was abandoned because of a thunderstorm at North Bendigo.

Earlier that season, the Bombers beat the Bulldogs at home.

Lockington Bamawm United takes on Colbinabbin at Nichol Trading Oval in Lockington.

The LBU Cats worked hard, but went down by 14 goals at Heathcote in round one.

The Colbinabbbin Grasshoppers start favourite.

Huntly and Heathcote meet on the Hawks court at Specialist Breeders Australia Oval in Strauch Reserve.

The Hawks played great netball to almost take the points at North Bendigo in their first hit-out of the season.

Heathcote will be equally determined to mark consecutive wins for the first time in many seasons.

White Hills has the bye.

Heathcote DFNL A-grade netball ladder:
