THE top three in the Golden Rivers FNL senior footy competition dominated in Saturday’s 12th round.
Ultima bounced back from its first defeat of the season to thrash Wandella by 87 points.
The Kangaroos were on home turf at Ultima to tackle the Bombers.
Ultima scored 4.4 to a behind in the first term and kept Wandella goalless in the first half as it led 62-5 by the main break.
The Roos kicked on to win 111 to 24.
Details on Ultima’s goalkickers and best players were not supplied.
Goalkickers for Wandella were Mitch Collins, Logan Keighran and Adam Ward.
Best for the Bombers were Adam Ward, Mitch Collins, Jack Radcliffe, Griffin Fowler, Tim Robinson and Russell Rich.
Hay marked a 43-point win on Murrabit’s turf.
The Lions led 37-13 at quarter-time and 63-33 by the long break.
Led by the play of Dean Aylett, Tom Spence and Jensen Hargreaves, Hay won the next quarter 27-14 as both teams added 4.1 in the last.
At the final siren the Lions led 115 to 72.
Multiple goalkickers for Hay were Jack Cattanach, four; Jensen Hargreaves, three, Jack Headon and Liam Whitbourne, two.
The Blues’ attack was led by Damian Cupido, three; Dustin Blake, Nathan O’Toole and Riley Nethercote, two.
Hay’s best included Daniel Stewart, Jim Houston and Jack Cattanach.
Nathan O’Toole, Dustin Blake, Ashton Wood, Riley Nethercote, Nathan Morrow and Blake Watts were best for the Blues.
A nine-goal blitz in the opening term set up Moulamein’s big win at home against Macorna.
The Swans scored 9.3 to a goal in the first term and then added 4.8 to 2.2 in the second.
Moulamein led by 69 points at half-time.
Defences were on top for most of the third term as the Swans added 2.3 and the Tigers scored 1.4.
It was another goalscoring frenzy in the last for Moulamein.
The Swans capped a great match by scoring 8.4 to 1.1 in the final term for a 156-37 victory.
Josh Flight was in superb touch for the Swans to reach a match-high seven goals.
Other multiple goalkickers for Moulamein were Daniel Aarsman, Corey Farrell and Khy Stovell, three; Amos Farrell and Luke Shannon, two.
Shaun Haffenden kicked two goals for the Tigers.
Best for Moulamein were Morgan Turvey, Mason Bailey, Luke Shannon, Blake Azzopardi, Will Gibson and Amos Farrell.
Macorna’s best were Lachlan Ritchie, Toby Whinfield, Shaun Haffenden, Grady Smith, Lachlan Thompson and Will Robinson.
