MURRABIT fought on for a one-goal win against Moulamein in Saturday’s 16th round of A-grade netball in the Golden Rivers FNL season.
The Blues and Swans played out a great match in the final round of the home and away series.
Scores were 10-all at quarter-time before Moulamein took charge in the second to win it, 15-11.
Murrabit hit back to win the third, 14-8.
Although the Swans outscored the Blues in the last, 14-13, it was Murrabit which marked a dramatic 48-47 victory.
The Blues’ attack was led by Montana Keating on 36 goals as Grace Gillingham added 12.
Goalers for Moulamein were Meg-Jordyne Rooney, 24; and Maddy Wild, 23.
Wandella could not halt Macorna’s attacking play on Wandella’s court.
The Macorna Tigers charged to a 15-5 lead at quarter-time and did not let up.
Macorna won the next two terms, 13-10 and 13-8.
An 18-goal buffer at a quarter to play became 28 by the finish as the Tigers romped to a 58-30 victory.
Goalers for Macorna were Asela Finch, 32; and Emmalea Wishart, 26.
Ultima won every quarter in a 60-35 result against Hay.
The Kangaroos led 16-9 at quarter-time and 34-13 by the main break.
The Lions from Hay roared back in the third to score 14 goals, but the Kangas added 15.
In the last, Ultima scored 11 goals and held Hay to a tally of eight.
Ultima’s attack was led by Ash Sanders, 39; and Grace Farrell, 12.
Ellen Jamieson scored 26 goals for the Lions.
