EAGLEHAWK’S young stars are flying high across the under-12, 14 and 16 competitions in the Bendigo Bank Bendigo Junior Football League.
The Hawks are fielding seven teams this season.
Round five in the under-12 Girls competition was played on Friday night.
Eaglehawk Hawks scored an eight-goal win against St Therese’s at C & M Oval in Eaglehawk’s Canterbury Park.
The Hawks led 12-6 at half-time and then added 3.1 as they kept the Sharks scoreless in the second quarter.
Eaglehawk slotted two goals in the third and another in the last to record a 54-6 victory.
Goalkickers for the Two Blues were Millie Barton, Lara Hendy and Letty Lovell on two each as Meg Cruttenden and Lola Fitt were also on target.
Best for Eaglehawk were Millie Barton, Ivy Thorpe, Letty Lovell, Alexis Thompson and Lara Hendy.
The Borough is also represented by Eaglehawk Eagles in the under-12 girls competition.
On Friday the Eagles played St Francis Green at C & M Oval in Canterbury Park.
The St Francis Green team won 21-nil.
A list of the Eagles best was not supplied.
It was a closely-fought match between Eaglehawk Eagles and Marong in the under-12B competition.
The Panthers won 25-15 in California Gully.
Goalkickers for Eaglehawk were Kobee Mulcahy and George Prime.
Best for Eaglehawk Eagles were Thomas Evans, Charlie Welch, Toby Roberts, Chad Uren, Harry Fitzpatrick and Will Andrea.
Three points separated Eaglehawk Hawks and South Bendigo at the end of the under-12D match in California Gully.
The Bloods took the points in a 25-22 result against the Hawks.
Goalkickers for Eaglehawk were Xavier Templar on two and Sebastian Nowell-Glanville.
Best for the Hawks were Hayden Albrecht, Xavier Templar, Jonty Hooke, Owen Hocking, Oliver King and Connor McFarlane.
Eaglehawk faced Golden Square in the under-14A match at California Gully.
The Hawks were down by three goals at quarter-time, but then scored six goals in the second to lead 44-30 at half-time.
Golden Square hit back to lead 56-46 going into the final quarter.
The Bulldogs scored six goals in the last to complete a 96-47 victory.
Goalkickers for Eaglehawk were Jayden Seppings and Braxton Webster on two each as Sam Cossar, Xavier Docksey and Xavier Williams were also on target.
Best for the Two Blues were Bailey Stone, Riley Button, Braxton Webster, Fraser Rhoden, Jaia Richardson and Xavier Williams.
Eaglehawk fought for a five-point win against North Bendigo in the under-14B match at California Gully.
The Hawks led 19-12 at quarter-time and 39-19 by the long break.
Quarter three was dominated by North Bendigo as it kicked three goals and kept Eaglehawk scoreless.
It was 39-all going into the final term.
The Borough won the last, 7-2, and the match, 46-41.
Ethan Swinnerton led the Hawks’ attack on two goals as Damon Bolitho, Braxtyn Bowd, Ryker Leech, Seth Pilcher and Jaxx Threlfall kicked one each.
Best for Eaglehawk were Austin Dredge, Max Metherell, Dominic Allan, Jaxx Threlfall, Tate McQueen and Ethan Swinnerton.
Eaglehawk won every quarter in a 66-25 victory against Huntly in the under-16B match at Huntly’s Strauch Reserve.
The Borough led 11-6 at quarter-time and 25-7 by the main break.
Four goals in the third term and another two in the last capped a 41-point win.
Eaglehawk’s attack was led by Taj Ferguson and Archer Harrison with two each as Zac Farrow, Mason Fitt, Kaiden Holborn, Jack Metherell and Finn Neivandt all added a goal.
Best for Eaglehawk were Taiglan Turton, Max Scandolera, Kaiden Holborn, Finn Neivandt, Cashius Burke and Jace Hope.
