COLBINABBIN claimed an eight-goal win against Mount Pleasant in Saturday’s 12th round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL season.
The Jen McIntyre-coached Colbinabbin made its way across to Toolleen to take on the Blues.
A 59-51 win meant the Grasshoppers marked their eighth win of the season.
The Carine Comer-coached Blues worked hard, but it was the green and gold which was able to control a lot of the play.
Heathcote was back on its court at Barrack Reserve to take on White Hills.
The Lauren Bowles-coached Demons charged to a 13-6 lead by quarter-time.
Heathcote was within four goals in the second term, but the Demons fired up to lead 24-15 by the main break.
After it won the third quarter, 14-8, White Hills closed out the match, 13-8 in the last.
At the final siren the red and black led 51-31 against a Saints team which is jointly coached by Brooke Bolton and Kelsey Hayes.
Unbeaten reigning premier in Elmore was too strong on its court for Leitchville Gunbower.
The Allira Holmes and Gabe Richards-coached Elmore won 47-24.
It was a spirited performance by the young Leitchville Gunbower team which is coached by Gemma Angove.
The Harlowe Huntly Hawks surged clear in the second half to win at Lockington’s Nichol Oval by 16 goals.
The Kym Bell-coached Huntly led 25-24 at half-time and then surged to a six-goal lead at a quarter to play.
An LBU team coached by Jessie Hardess kept working, but it was Huntly which took the points in a 54-38 result.
