HEATHCOTE moved to the fourth rung on the A-grade netball ladder after Saturday’s win against Mount Pleasant in the 15th round of the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL season.
The Saints had home-court advantage at Pigeon Park in Barrack Reserve to take on the Blues.
On a day where Heathcote’s players wore the purple dresses as Memorial Day, the Saints took control in the opening term.
Jointly coached by Brooke Bolton and Kelsey Hayes, Heathcote held an eight-goal lead by the first break and went on to claim a 47-36 victory against the Corine Comer-coached Blues.
North Bendigo also moved to 24 premiership points after a 27-goal win against Leitchville Gunbower.
The Imogen Davies-coached North Bendigo marked the trek to Gunbower by scoring a 63-36 victory.
Colbinabbin won every quarter of its home game at M.J. Morgan Oval against the Harlowe Huntly Hawks.
The Jen McIntyre-coached Colbinabbin led 17-9 at quarter-time.
A closely-fought second term went the way of the green and gold, 16-14.
The Kym Bell-coached Huntly kept working hard, but Colbo held sway in the last two quarters, 17-14 and 15-13.
At the final whistle, Colbinabbin led 65-50.
White Hills was too strong for Lockington Bamawm United on the Demons’ cour at Winslow Constructors Oval in Scott Street.
The Lauren Bowles-coached Demons dominated the opening term to lead 21-6 at the first break.
By half-time the Demons led 37-11.
A formidable mid-court and attack for White Hills outpointed the Jessie Hardess-coached LBU to win the last two quarters, 20-6 and 13-8.
White Hills won the clash with the Cats, 70-25.
Elmore had the bye.

Mount Pleasant faces the unbeaten Elmore at Toolleen.
The Harlowe Huntly Hawks play Leitchville Gunbower at Huntly’s Strauch Reserve.
