LVFNL Netball | Round 14 PREVIEW

Bridgewater aims for upset win on Calivil’s court

THE fifth-placed Bridgewater will chase an upset win against Calivil United in this Saturday’s 14th round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley Football Netball League.

The Mean Machine makes the trek to Calivil determined to beat the Demons after the round five clash at Bridgewater ended in a two-goal win for the visitors.

Calivil United was stung by a 54-50 loss to Mitiamo in the John Forbes Tribute Round played on the Superoos’ ground last Saturday.

The defeat pushed Calivil United from the second rung to third on the ladder.

Bridgewater was in great form in a 61-24 win at home against Bears Lagoon Serpentine, but know the defensive pressure from the Demons will be much higher.

Marong and Newbridge will clash on the Panthers’ court at Marong’s Malone Park.

The Panthers worked hard to score a 39-24 win in last Saturday’s match on Pyramid Hill’s court at Mitchell Park.

Newbridge is back on court after the A-grade team had a rest last round because Inglewood is not fielding a team in the top grade.

The ladder-leading Maiden Gully YCW Eagles are also back in action after a bye.

The Eagles’ confidence and skills are soaring.

Maiden Gully YCW won at Pyramid Hill in round five by 33 goals and should the points on its court at Marist College Bendigo Oval in Maiden Gully.

It’s a rest for Mitiamo in A-grade, but the Superoos will play Inglewood in the lower grades at John Forbes Oval in Mitiamo.

Bears Lagoon Serpentine has the bye.
