LVFNL Netball Wrap Up | Round 12

Mitiamo ups pressure in second half to overrun Marong

MITIAMO lifted its pressure and overall game to score a decisive win against Marong in Saturday’s 12th round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley Football Netball League.

The Superoos and Panthers met on Marong’s court at Malone Park.

In round three the teams fought out a draw at Mitiamo’s John Forbes Oval.

This time it was Marong which made a strong start to lead at half-time.

The Laura Hicks-coached Mitiamo tightened up in defence and forced Marong to take longer shots at goal.

The Superoos gained an eight-goal lead by three quarter-time and did not let up as they won the final term by three goals to complete a confidence-lifting 59-48 victory.

Pyramid Hill marked its second win of the season as it won the battle of seventh and eighth on Bears Lagoon-Serpentine’s court at Gadsden Finance Serpentine Reserve.

The Abbey Dingwall-coached Pyramid Hill led at every break on its way to a 48-32 result.

The hot form of Maiden Gully YCW rolled on in a 34-goal win on Newbridge’s court at Holloway Air Riverside Park.

It was a rest for Bridgewater in A-grade because Inglewood is not fielding a team in the top flight, but the Mean Machine and Blues contested the lower grades at Inglewood’s Dissy Machinery Oval.

Calivil United had the bye.
