Panthers pursue Eagles on Marong court

MATCH of the day in Saturday’s resumption to A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley Football Netball League will be at Marong where the Panthers take on Maiden Gully YCW Eagles.

It’s third against first as Marong and Maiden Gully YCW take to the Malone Park court.

All teams will be keen to fire after a rest for the Queen’s Birthday holiday weekend.

Marong had the bye in round nine and slipped from top spot on the ladder as the Eagles and Calivil United moved up.

The Eagles were in top form as they scored an 84-25 victory against Bears Lagoon Serpentine at Marist College.

The first round showdown between the Panthers and Eagles ended in a 46-42 win for Marong.

Bears Lagoon Serpentine faces another  big test when it meets Mitiamo on the Gadsden Finance Serpentine Reserve court.

Mitiamo answered a final quarter fightback in the round nine match against Bridgewater to score a crucial 67-62 victory.

The round one match between BLS and Mitiamo ended in a 32-goal win for the Superoos.
