A TALLY of 19 scoring shots to just one signified Golden Square’s dominance of its round two clash with Eaglehawk in the Champions IGA-backed CVFL senior women’s footy competition on Sunday.
The Bulldogs were on home turf in Wade Street against the Two Blues.
Golden Square led 28-nil at half-time and then scored 5.6 across quarters three and four on the way to a 64-1 victory.
In two matches the blue and gold has scored 292 points and has just a point against.
A list of Golden Square’s goalkickers was incomplete.
Co-coach Carly Geary was best afield and had great support from captain Liz Watkins, Lauren Suleiman, Jenna Bannam, Gemma Roberts and Tania Kerrison.
The Bulldogs co-coach is Bec McLay.
It was a tough afternoon for the Molly Metcalf-coached Eaglehawk.
Best for the Borough were Lilly Stevenson, Lexie Moss, Eliza Long, Shelby Faulkner, Lucy El Hage and Krystal Robinson.
Castlemaine marked a 120-16 win against Sandhurst at Ewing Park in Bendigo.
The Jordan Cochrane-coached Castlemaine scored 5.6 and kept the Dragons scoreless in the opening quarter.
By the long break the Magpies led 57-2.
An evenly-fought third term went Castlemaine’s way, 29-13, as Scott Carmody and Charlotte Sandhurst were on target for Sandhurst.
The Magpies added five goals in the last.
Vice-captain Eloise Gretgrix was in great touch as she kicked seven goals.
Other multiple goalkickers were captain Brianna Burt, Tiahna Cochrane, Jemma Finning and Maeve Tupper on two.
Castlemaine’s best were Jemma Finning, Eloise Gretgrix, Brianna Burt, Tiahna Cochrane, Maeve Tupper and Taylah Sartori.
Lara Bish, Katie Walker, Sarah Baldwin, Chloe Taylor, Chloe Naughton and Ruby Campbell were best for a Sandhurst team jointly coached by Andrew Saladino and Liam Ireland.
Marong passed the century mark in its win at home on Jackal Oval in Malone Park against Bendigo Thunder.
The Panthers led 30-nil at quarter-time and 58-nil by the long break.
Led by the play of Lauren Knight, Kayla Grant and Dani Jeffery, Marong kicked on for a 102-1 victory.
The Panthers’ attack was led by Lauren Knight on three goals as Nikeah Anderson, Kiera Cook and Dani Jeffery chipped in with two each.
Marong’s best included Hayley Martiniello, Liza Jane Edwards and Jaime Sawers.
The Panthers are jointly coached by Daniel Bourke and Jimmy Evenden.
Best for the Mick McInnes-coached Thunder were Maddi Brackenreg, Estella Murphy, Shasta Martion, Awhina Poki, Hollie Maher and Kate Wright.
North Bendigo and White Hills had the bye.

It’s a rematch of the ’24 grand final when Castlemaine faces Golden Square in the Magpies’ nest at Castlemaine’s Camp Reserve from 5.30pm.
Eaglehawk takes on North Bendigo at Eaglehawk’s Canterbury Park from 5pm.
It’s a bye for Bendigo Thunder, Marong, Sandhurst and White Hills.
